Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 September 2026 · Last updated: 14 September 2026

In plain English

Dot Reveal collects nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no in-app purchases. The app requests no Android permissions at all — not even internet access — so it is technically incapable of sending information anywhere. Your stars, streaks and badges are saved in private storage on your own device, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Croxton Technologies, the publisher of the Dot Reveal mobile application ("Dot Reveal", "the app", "we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use the app.

App name: Dot Reveal — Connect the Dots
Package ID: dev.dotreveal.dot_reveal
Publisher: Croxton Technologies
Developer contact: Abdul Aleem
Country of operation: India
Contact email: aleem@croxton.in

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the Dot Reveal mobile application distributed through the Google Play Store. It does not apply to any other app, website or service, including the Google Play Store itself, which is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Dot Reveal is a single-player offline puzzle game. It has no companion website, no web service and no back-end of any kind.

3. Summary of data practices

4. What information we collect

We collect no personal information whatsoever. Dot Reveal does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, location, contacts, photos or any other personal detail. There are no registration forms, no profiles and no way to sign in.

We do not read your device identifier, advertising ID, IP address or any other identifier, because the app never communicates with any server.

Information that stays on your device

So that the game can remember where you left off, Dot Reveal saves the following in private application storage that only Dot Reveal can read:

This is game progress, not personal information. It never leaves your device, it is not backed up to any server of ours, and we never see it.

5. Permissions Dot Reveal requests and why

Dot Reveal requests no Android permissions at all. This is unusual and deliberate. If you open the app's entry in Android Settings, the permissions list is empty.

android.permission.INTERNET — NOT REQUESTED

The app is built without the internet permission. Android will refuse any network connection the app attempts, which means Dot Reveal is technically incapable of uploading your information, showing ads, or contacting any server — including ours.

The game works entirely offline, on a plane or in aeroplane mode, with no loss of functionality.

6. How information is used

Because no information is collected, there is nothing for us to use. The game progress stored on your device is used by the app itself, on your device, for one purpose only: to show you your progress and unlock the next level, badge or gift picture.

We do not profile you, we do not build audience segments, and we do not perform any automated decision-making.

7. Information sharing & disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, trade or disclose any information about you to anyone, for any purpose. We could not do so even if asked, because we never receive any information about you in the first place.

This includes law enforcement requests: we hold no user data that could be produced in response to a subpoena or court order.

8. Where your data is stored

Entirely on your own device, in Android's private per-app storage area, which other apps cannot read. We operate no servers and no databases. There is no cloud backup of your game progress by us.

If you have enabled Android's own device backup in your Google account settings, Android may include app data in that backup. That backup is between you and Google, is governed by Google's privacy policy, and we have no access to it.

9. Third-party services

Dot Reveal includes no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting services. There is no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no advertising SDK and no social media SDK in this app.

The app is built with the following open-source software components, all of which run purely on your device:

None of these components are configured to collect or transmit data in this app, and none of them can, given the app has no network access.

Distribution and any future updates are handled by the Google Play Store, which operates under Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control and are not responsible for Google's data practices.

10. Advertising

Dot Reveal contains no advertising of any kind. There are no banner ads, no interstitials, no rewarded video, no sponsored content and no affiliate links. No advertising identifier is read, and no advertising network receives anything about you or your child.

11. Analytics & crash reporting

Dot Reveal contains no analytics and no crash reporting. We do not know how many levels you have played, how long you play for, or whether the app has ever crashed on your device.

Google Play Console does provide us with aggregate, anonymous statistics about installs, uninstalls and crashes across all users. This is produced by Google Play itself rather than by anything inside the app, it cannot be traced back to an individual, and it is governed by Google's privacy policy.

12. Data retention & deletion

We retain no data about you, so there is no retention period and nothing for us to delete.

Your on-device game progress is kept for as long as the app is installed. To delete it, either clear the app's storage (Android Settings → Apps → Dot Reveal → Storage → Clear storage) or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes everything permanently and immediately.

Because there is no account, there is no account deletion request to make and no form to fill in.

13. Security

The strongest security measure available is not collecting data in the first place, and that is the approach Dot Reveal takes. There is no server to breach, no database to leak and no credentials to steal.

Your on-device game progress is protected by Android's application sandbox, which prevents other apps from reading it. We recommend keeping your device protected with a screen lock and keeping Android up to date.

14. Children's privacy

Dot Reveal is designed to be suitable for children and families, and is distributed under the Google Play Families policy. It complies with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and with the provisions of the GDPR concerning the personal data of children.

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. Specifically, Dot Reveal contains:

There is nothing inside the app that a child can use to reach the outside world or to disclose information about themselves. Parents and guardians who have questions are welcome to contact us using the details in section 19.

15. International users

Dot Reveal is published from India and is available worldwide. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no international transfer of personal data to disclose, and no cross-border data-transfer mechanism is required.

16. Your rights under GDPR (EU/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection regarding your personal data, as well as the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We respect these rights fully. In practice, we process no personal data relating to you, so we hold nothing to give you access to, correct, erase, restrict, port or object to. The game progress on your device is under your sole control and can be erased at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.

Should you wish to exercise any right or raise a concern, contact us using the details in section 19 and we will respond within 30 days.

17. Your rights under CCPA (California)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, grants you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.

We do not collect, sell or share personal information, and we never have. There is therefore nothing to disclose, delete, correct or opt out of. We do not and will not sell the personal information of any user, including users we know to be under 16 years of age.

We will not discriminate against you in any way for exercising your privacy rights.

18. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this same address with an updated "last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes — for example if a future version of the app were ever to collect data — would additionally be disclosed in the app's Google Play listing before that version is released.

Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
